We’re officially WorkSafe registered, but we’re also safety nerds at heart. Every guide is trained to handle the wild stuff, and our safety checks are as tight as our paddle grips.
Before each trip, the crew checks helmets, PFDs, wetsuits, thermal layers, and footwear. The briefing covers seating, paddle strokes, and in-boat commands. The team reviews go or no-go calls using the day’s levels and forecast. If conditions change, your session may move to a safer time or a different section.
We kit you out with all the river gear you need. Want proof you conquered the falls? Grab a photo or video package and relive the mayhem!
Rafting season? Pretty much all year! Sun-soaked summer, crisp autumn, clear winter—every trip’s got its magic. Wetsuits keep you toasty, no matter the weather.
The Wairoa River operates on select Sundays in summer. For high or low flows, the team may shift start times or choose a different section to keep trips safe.
