Rafting tours depart daily at 8:30am, 10:30am 12:30PM and 2.30pm. Reservations WILL be required for ALL Hell’s Gate mud baths & hot pools for bookings.

Arrive early and take a stroll down the beautiful Okere Falls Scenic Reserve walking track. With multiple viewing platforms of the river, and its many waterfalls, it’s the perfect pre-rafting activity! This was a great couple bonding experience that took us both to the edge of our comfort zones. Could not speak highly enough of the professionalism of the guiding team - yet making the whole experience one of such fun.
MY FAVOURITE EXPERIENCE IN NZ SO FAR. TOOK THE 9AM TOUR TODAY AND ALREADY CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK. THE RAFTING WAS SO MUCH FUN AND THE TOUR GUIDES ARE HILARIOUS. NEVER FELT IN ANY DANGER JUST ENJOYED THE RIDE! WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYBODY. I WENT AS A SOLO TRAVELLER AND IT WAS STILL REALLY ENJOYABLE.

Cole was a really good guide, talked us through everything and had a good laugh. The water was nice, not cold at all. They provide wetsuits, footwear, helmets, life jackets and polo fleeces. Worth the money and would do it again. Recommend going in a group so that you can split the cost of photos.

Yes, we offer white water rafting in Rotorua on the Kaituna River, and many first-timers do it with us, as long as they are fit, healthy, and comfortable in the water.

Kaituna River rafting is our 50-minute Grade 5 trip through 14 rapids and over the famous waterfall, and yes, it is included in this Mud Baths and Rafting Combo.
Your Hell’s Gate mud bath time is scheduled about 2.3 hours after your rafting trip, so you have time to finish rafting, change, and travel over.
Rafting departures: 9 am, 11:45 am, 2:30 pm
Hell’s Gate bookings are required, so please reserve your entry time
Allow 4 hours total, with 2 hours for rafting and 2 hours for the mud baths and hot pools.
Yes, we run this as a managed Grade 5 adventure with safety equipment and trained guides, but rafting has real risk, and we cannot guarantee your safety.
