Such a thrill, and I would recommend it to everyone! But, enough about Eoin. The river was absolutely wild and definitely not like your typical theme park ride. There is a real danger, yes, but their guidance throughout is amazing. All possible issues and their solutions are discussed on the ground, so there are no surprises; thankfully, they didn't need to practise these in real life. The guides are super knowledgeable of the river and any possible hazards it may present. There is both a separate person in a rescue raft and a photographer on land, who are both super friendly, so we all felt safe as a movie star. Even though it was raining, I felt super warm in their supplied wetsuit. In fact, I only felt cold getting out of it. So, definitely an all-weather adventure. Don't worry about the rain. I'd much rather have some raindrops on me beforehand than drop into the river dry. Recommend 100%!

The actually rafting was brilliant, the scenery is beautiful, it definitely gets the heart pumping, but we always felt safe.
Our guide Hamish is a star and so are all the other staff. I've been in NZ for 8 years and have done heaps of the various activities available, so far this one stands above the rest.
