I was able to do the 'youth' version where I got off the raft before the waterfalls, travelled with the photographer (who turned out to be the original founder of the company with a fascinating life story - it was a real privilege to meet you Keith!) and then I jumped back into the river to join in the fun. Swimming the rapids and being dunked under a wave whilst sitting at the front of the boat was plenty enough adrenalin surge for me. Thanks to all of the staff and wishing you many more years promoting this wonderful rafting experience.

The whole operation was... read more really smooth, the company has everything you need to be on the river as far as clothing and will take care of all the logistics of shuttle and securing your valuables. They all seem to know what they are doing and know how to have fun on the water. Our actual trip was the shorter river right by their facility which meanders and winds down this beautiful slot canyon. The actual trip is pretty short in length (distance) which was surprising, because there are a TON of rapids and falls, but it felt just long enough. You should do it.

The photos at the end are also super good and very affordable.

  What an amazing experience we had today with the team at kaituna cascades. We are still buzzing from our grade 5 white water rafting experience. We took our teens... read more who were able to do the big waterfalls with us and younger ones who joined in part way. Eion, Pete and Elvis were fantastic and made sure we were all safe but at the same time ensured we had the maximum fun. Thank you guys you were awesome. Would definitely recommend.
