Such a thrill, and I would recommend it to everyone! But, enough about Eoin. The river was absolutely wild and definitely not like your typical theme park ride. There is a real danger, yes, but their guidance throughout is amazing. All possible issues and their solutions are discussed on the ground, so there are no surprises; thankfully, they didn't need to practise these in real life. The guides are super knowledgeable of the river and any possible hazards it may present. There is both a separate person in a rescue raft and a photographer on land, who are both super friendly, so we all felt safe as a movie star. Even though it was raining, I felt super warm in their supplied wetsuit. In fact, I only felt cold getting out of it. So, definitely an all-weather adventure. Don't worry about the rain. I'd much rather have some raindrops on me beforehand than drop into the river dry. Recommend 100%! …

Being within walking distance from the put-in spot means you spend more time where you want to be, on the water, rather than in a van. This company surely knows how to maximise the river to give you the best possible experience. Guides are great. Our guide, Sam, was simply outstanding. I would hate to think how many times he guided this trip yet his enthusiasm made us feel as though it was still very fresh for him and he was getting as much enjoyment as us. His skill, encouragement to get his clients to extend their boundaries, great sense of humour, a desire to give us the best experience possible makes him the ideal person for this job. I am sooooo glad I did. What an incredible experience. Elvis was so attentive and entertaining. He made us all laugh and feel safe. During the experience we were close with the other rafts from same company and all the other staff were always checking on each person and making the joining so enjoyable. We all felt super safe as they also had 2 men on kayaks who kept a close eye and were on hand if anything was to go wrong which nothing did. It was such a thrill going down the falls and the big drop at the end wooowwww. They also allowed us to have a swim where the water was safe so that was a bonus. Elvis suggested some different seating positions to maximise the fun and elevate the experience which we enjoyed throughly. Pete greeted us so warmly and honeslty every single staff member form the young guys helping with life jackets to the experts-Pete at front counter made us feel welcome and special. What an incredible team and more importantly such a fun bunch. Highly recommend this to anyone- live a little and enjoy something more than just sitting in a tub at Polynesian spa. I will never look at Rotorua the same again. Thanks Pete-Elvis and the whole team. We will be back.
