Kaituna Cascades specialize in groups of all sizes – Whether it be a birthday party, stags or hens party, end of year work do or Christmas function, team building, corporate events, school groups or sports groups – we have the best activity’s and facility’s for you and the crew!

Being the original Kaituna rafting company it gave us the 1st pick of locations!

Our sweet Rafting Base in Okere Falls allows for groups to relax and enjoy the area before and after the rafting. We have loads of free off street parking (camper-van and bus friendly) and big grassy area’s with big picnic tables and bean bags to chill on.

It’s in an awesome sunny location that backs onto the shores of the Kaituna River and is surrounded by the scenic reserve which also has the famous Okere Falls walking trails.

In the warmer months we have a Volleyball court set up as well as a marque for shade and BBQ facilities.

We are the closest and most accessible company to the river which means we don’t have any long shuttle drives before or after the rafting, giving you more time on the river and also less stress off the river – making us the BEST place to host your group.

Our Group rate is $105 pp – hit the book now button and select “Adults in a group ” *A group consists of 6 or more – up tp 30.

For groups of 30 – 100+ give us a call and wheel yourself a deal and a private tour!

Just hit book now and select adults in a group, pay for 6 seats (or multiples of 6 for more rafts) and in the comments write “exclusive group” and we’ll have you sorted.

Great for families or smaller groups that don’t want a random person or 2 joining their raft.

Also great for larger people that may want more space in the raft to “get down” as we go over the waterfalls.

We make groups of 6 and go for it on busy days to fill the rafts – so an exclusive raft will have you on your own vibes…

Everyone loves taking a day out of the office and jumping on the river with us for an exciting and awesome team building experience.  Stay at rafting base after and enjoy our facilities or head on around the corner to The Okere Store for some ‘everything friendly’ food and enjoy Rotorua’s best selection of craft beer. We can 100% accommodate your end of year Christmas function!! We are also chilli-bin friendly for an after rafting reward.

We already work with many high schools around New Zealand & Australia, and would love to help you out with some amazing rafting for your students and be part of your next school camp or outdoor getaway! It’s the perfect activity for students aged 13-18 and being only 2.5 hours round trip, it fits into almost any itinerary!

Our base is very free range kid friendly. We have a large grassy area to throw/kick a ball around, volleyball court, picnic tables and shady tree areas to enjoy a picnic lunch under. Being located right next to the scenic reserve and the Okere Falls walking track lets the kids stretch their legs and watch the rafts tumble over the falls at the viewing platforms.

We have all the paperwork to keep everyone happy and is easily shareable with you, and are Adventure Mark registered and approved.

We have trips leaving daily at 9am, 11:45am, and at 2:30pm or at 4:30pm (summer only). Also we can accommodate “special times” and exclusive trips upon request and availability.

We can offer free shuttle services from within a central Rotorua location, but recommend taking advantage of our free parking and ample space provided at our rafting base for a more relaxing time.

There is heaps of room for Camper vans and Buses to park and or turn around.

Generally we sell photos per raft, for groups we can combine your photos on the day at an overall discounted price.

We have been safely hosting many school and work groups every year for 30+ years, and are very proud to be hosting the Annual NZ Police association raft races – which has been ongoing every year for the past 10+ years!
We have the ability to take very large groups, including back to back rafting trips, and we can do multiple runs a day.
We have an age limit of 13 years or older for the full river Grade 5 section. And we are also able to take 10 to 12 year old’s on the half river, Grade 3 section.
